Our group of 12 had a fantastic stay at Bluebird Ranch! This is a perfect home to host a large group. The home has everything you need to make your stay complete. From the well equipped kitchen to the comfortable furnishings, we were able to provide our guests with a most comfortable vacation. The owners are so helpful and accommodating. We look forward to our next stay here. Thank you for everything!
Our stay at Bluebird Ridge Ranch was the perfect setting for a long Labor Day weekend gathering of family and friends for our son's wedding in Colorado Springs. This home is large enough for 20 plus people but still has an atmosphere of warmth and love. The kitchen is set up to accommodate many cooks at one time with plenty of seating for all. Everyone in our group enjoyed their stay and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful weekend. Thank you Chris, hopefully we will return for a reunion! Mary Howard
We were a group of 18 people and had a wonderful time! The best part about this house is that it has lots of room to have your own space, yet it also has great areas for group gatherings. The kitchen is phenomenal - incredibly well stocked and easy for lots of cooks to convene in at the same time. The house has lovely furnishings and is incredibly comfortable. Not a single person had a bad bed - which we know from renting vacation houses every year is not an easy feat. Chris, the owner, was wonderful - she checked in on us to make sure everything was going well, but also left us alone so we had complete privacy. The location is great - only 5-10 minutes to shops and close enough to Colorado Springs to do fun activities, but tucked away from the world with incredibly beautiful views of Pike's Peak and other mountains. Thanks for providing us with a home away from home. If we do another reunion in Colorado, this house will be our first choice!
Looking for a once in a lifetime vacation rental for your family reunion? This beautiful home set on top of a hill with a 360 degree view including Pike's Peak can't be beat. Chris and her husband are gracious hosts meeting us there when we arrived and calling to check if we needed anything the following day. Chris arrived, too, as we were leaving and made sure that our stay had been all that we had hoped it would be. The home is well furnished with two dishwashers and two ovens in the main floor kitchen with another kitchen on the lower level. Two staircases to the upper bedroom level make traffic flow easy. There are two master suites on the main level, one master suite on the second level and another master suite on the lower level. We haven't even mentioned the "Gone Fishing" bedroom, the Sea Port bedroom, the Giraffe bedroom also on the second level, and the 8 bunkbed bedroom on the lower level. Looking for something to do? How about the pool table, the ping pong table, the game table, darts, toys and games for young and old---and did I mention the hot tub when all that playing wears one out! Kevin and Kelly help take care of the property and are usually there morning and evening if you have any questions. They are happy to show you their horses and chickens. Oscar, the resident cat, tends to the deck and is a delight for the youngsters to see. Forgot something for the evening meal? Check Chris's well-stocked cupboards or the grocery stores are only a few minutes away in Monument. Want to take a break from this luxurious home? Cheyenne Zoo, the Pikes Peak cog train, Garden of the Gods and much more are within a 30-60 minute drive depending on traffic. Our family has many wonderful memories of our three generation family reunion and, if this home would be available again, we will definitely be giving Chris a call.
We, our 5 children and their spouses, and twelve grandchildren enjoyed our stay celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. The house accommodated all 23 of us nicely. The youngest 6 children played in the well equipped basement. We took part in several activities in nearby Colorado Springs every day. In the evening we cooked supper together in the well equipped kitchen. The property manager was available for any questions or to bring missing supplies. We hired a photographer to take family photos with the beautiful mountains as backdrop. All in all it was a wonderful family celebration!
This property in Monument was perfect! So great, that none of us wanted to leave. The house is beautiful, but comfortable and very well stocked. There was nothing lacking other than of course, bringing our food and necessities. For outdoor time, besides the hot tub, there were plenty of outdoor games, horseshoes, bad-mitten, etc. as well as the game room inside. You won't be lacking for things to do at the property as well as the surrounding area. The house provided the most picturesque view of Pikes Peek! It was amazing to wake up to that view every morning. The homeowner was always available for anything we might need and made us feel very much at home as though we were her personal guests (which we were). I can't thank her enough for making our stay so perfect. Thank you Chris! I highly recommend this home and look forward to the time that we can return.
We are so happy your family enjoyed Bluebird Ridge Ranch! What a wonderfully family you have. You are welcome back anytime. Congrats on the wedding and thank you for bringing the Florida sunshine with you!
Our team of 11 adults was very pleased with our stay at this property. Plenty of room, comfy beds, great kitchen space for cooking big meals. The downstairs rec room was a blast. We had all the games going at once- darts, ping pong, pool, cards...it was a blast. Absolutely breathtaking view of pikes peak and lovely neighborhood to walk or run in.
I am so glad you and your co-workers had fun during your stay at Bluebird Ridge Ranch. It is truly a special place and other companies have said it was perfect for their executive retreat and also enjoyed the game room after a day of meetings. I hope you visit again. Chris
House was awsome...very open and big- and the kitchen is a dream kitchen that was very well stocked. The views from the house are spectacular, everything u would want or expect in CO. The beds are not all that comfortable but they worked. Overall our experience was very nice and I would definitely stay there again, hopefully next time for more than a few days :)
We are so happy that you enjoyed Bluebird Ridge Ranch but disappointed that after 3 years we have our first less than perfect 5 star review. Please let me know which bed was not comfortable and we will check it out. All beds are pillow top with the exception of the queen suite on the main level which is a memory foam topper. The twin bunks are also new pillow topped mattresses. We are happy that everything else was acceptable to you and do hope that you visit us again.
The property and house was perfect for our small group. There was plenty of games if we just wanted to hang out there and visit but fairly close to activities if we wanted to go out. Due to the size of our group we decided to cook every night. Nothing fancy but the kitchen is very well appointed and we did not lack for anything. With two dishwashers, clean up was a breeze. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends!
We had family come from all over the country to vacation in this home and it was a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and huge but very comfortable and homey. The kitchen is large and well laid out for several people to cook at once. There's a playhouse in the back that my grandson loved! He also loved the chickens. :-)
We brought 4 generations to this home to vacation together and had a wonderful time. The home is wonderfully furnished, kitchen had everything we needed and more to prepare meals. There were games galore from board games to outdoor games and books and movies for all ages. The house was wonderfully sound proofed so that our 20s could play ping pong, pool or cards with out disturbing the family that wanted to go to bed before midnight. We loved the view of Pikes Peak from the hot tub and hammocks and there was plenty of chairs on the deck. The caretakers were fabulous and very helpful when we couldn't figure out how to turn on the light over the pool table. We had to call maintenance but he came to the house quickly and we were kept informed of the repair process to minimize the disruption of our vacation. Close to attractions for all ages and the home was wonderful to just relax in and enjoy our family time. I cannot think of a single thing that would have made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable.
This house suited our Family Reunion of 20 very nicely.... View, location, kitchen, deck were all Wonderous People could go be quiet or join the family games.... Home is warm cozy, and has everything.... Kitchen perfect for group cooking with everything you can imagine for getting the job done.... we went to many places in the area Chris is Fabulous and her home is Fantastic
It was fun seeing your family have such fun at Bluebird Ridge Ranch. It is a special place and we are happy you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the kitchen is a great place to spend family time, preparing meals together or just hanging out.... it seems everyone likes to hang out in the kitchen. Come see us again. Chris & Bob
The views are breathtaking, the home is welcoming with a very relaxed feel. The grandchildren loved the music room & I enjoyed the violin even though I have never picked up one before. Chris was very helpful with any questions including where the closest church is to setting our mind at ease with "something will break so don't worry about it."
We are so happy that your stay at Bluebird Ridge Ranch was everything you had hope it to be. Please come back and see us again. Chris & Bob
Our decision to rent this home for the “wedding party weekend” was by far one of the best we made! The beautiful Bluebird Ridge Ranch was more than perfect for our out-of-town wedding party guests to completely relax and enjoy their time together – we were close to town making it convenient to get to the wedding venue and the market yet on 40 acres we were able to truly relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. The first night the wedding party enjoyed their time together preparing dinner, using the hot tub, playing ping pong and pool, taking in the stunning sunset and unwinding after their travels. There was plenty of room for our party of 24 with the great layout and spacious rooms. It easily accommodated 8 couples and 8 singles – all the bedrooms and the bunkroom decorated so nicely and all so cozy and inviting – it was like having our own private bed and breakfast! During the day, our guests enjoyed the backyard playing horseshoes, crochet, bocce ball – they hiked the Bluebird Trail as the sunset behind the mountain range. We have some spectacular photos as our photographer stayed there with the wedding party. One of the highlights for us was on the eve of the wedding when we hosted our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner. The owners were so gracious to allow us to do this. We had enough space to include our out-of-town guests, too, which made the evening very special. There was plenty of room to seat everyone and serve the food and drinks. Even our wheel-chair bound family member had no issue with anything and could really enjoy the evening. It was a stunning evening that everyone will remember - home cooked food prepared in the huge kitchen, the spectacular mountain views, a beautiful sunset and a cozy fire in the grand fireplace made for a perfect evening full of laughter, joy and many toasts! I can’t say enough about how this home so graciously accommodated this “party” so well – even the bride and groom had room to “get away” to share special moments together as they anticipated the wedding, too. Tastefully appointed this home has a “put your feet up and relax” vibe. Very, very clean and well stocked; comfortable beds with nice bedding and lots of white towels. All in all, it was just perfect for our needs. If we could give it more than 5 out of 5 we would. It was truly a special place making for a genuinely memorable time for not only the bride and groom but for all the wedding party as well.
The house exceeded expectations. There was plenty of space and many unique gathering places within the house. The views and the property were spectacular as well. Chris was very nice, accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We would strongly recommend this for any type of large gathering.
The house and the property were absolutely amazing and better than advertised! It is a beautiful house, with tremendous vistas of Pikes Peak, sunrises and sunsets, nestled on 40 acres with a cow pasture, tranquil and serene. The owners went out of their way to ensure that the house was accessible to me as a wheelchair user, ensuring that there were ample ramps available to facilitate my ability to get in and out of the house. They were also spot on with recommendations of services in the community, from a local pizzeria to a bakery that in the last minute was able to make a customized engagement cake for my son and his beautiful fiancée, which was absolutely delicious! The combination of the personal attention and concern of the owners to ensure that we had all that we needed, and the picturesque setting and beautiful house made for a very memorable vacation for my family and friends. I wholeheartedly recommend the ranch for anyone who's idea of roughing it in the countryside is staying in luxury accommodations, with a great deck and Jacuzzi. The only reservation I have in recommending the ranch is admittedly selfish… I want to make sure that the house is available for us when we return next year!
Thanks for the great review. We are so very happy you had such a great time. We do hope to see you again next year, but you better book it soon as we are getting a lot of interest for next summer. All the best to you and your family. Chris & Bob
WOW! We completely enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous home! We have a C4C (freshman) at USAFA and were looking for a retreat for Parents' Weekend where our son and our extended family could relax without being in uniform, enjoy the beauty of Colorado and still have plenty of activities to do to keep everyone entertained. This home provided us that perfect location! We were a quick 15 minute drive to the front gate of the Academy and yet it felt a world away! From the fully equipped kitchen where my mother-in-law loved preparing her family favorite recipes to the lower level den complete with pool table, dart board and poker table where the teenagers enjoyed hanging out to the peaceful location and hiking trails, everyone in our extended family truly found their place. We will definitely rent this jewel again! We had a wonderful time at night using our star gazer app and locating the constellations in the crystal clear sky. The home was clean, comfortable and very easy to find with the owner's directions. We had friends over from the Broadmoor and they found it with no problem. Monument is a cute and quaint town with shops and restaurants that are nearby. We also made a trip to Garden of the Gods and a couple of other Colorado Springs tourist stops with a short drive. We were completely satisfied with our stay and look forward to a return trip. The owner is easy to work with and is very helpful. Two thumbs up!
We are so happy you had a great stay at Bluebird Ridge Ranch. Come back again soon.
We recently had the pleasure of staying in this magnificent home. The description of it does not do it justice. We had my mother's 80th birthday celebration and a July 4th reunion here. The home had everything we needed and then some. From batteries for a child's game to enough tableware for this huge crew. Forgot to bring a certain spice for a recipe? No worry, the spice cupboard was filled to the max. Their wonderful friends and neighbors made sure the hot tub was clean and working properly. The yard and maintence man was there instantly to mow abit of grass for parking and to clean the horseshoe pits for us. Televisions and WiFi was remarkable in all parts of the house. The lower level was well equipped for everything the kids needed. Loved the big childrens room with 4 sets of bunkbeds. The views from the deck were outstanding. My husband and I would get up before everyone else and sit and have a cup of coffee and do our morning devotinal on the deck where the views were outstanding. Yes, it was abit hard to find, but most of us all have GPS systems on our phone or in the car. We discovered that if you followed the route from the freeway, the navagational system worked everytime. Activities in the area that were enjoyed by family members were Garden of the Gods, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (5 star rating for this), Pikes Peak, 4-wheeling (although you do have to trailer them for the trails - but you have many choices), restuarants of all likes, etc. No one ever got bored. We thank the owners for opening their beautiful home to us. Thank you for helping to make the reunion and birthday get-together a success! Would highly recommend this home no matter what your reasons for being in the area. It was wonderful. We will be back! And just a little side note. The music room was absolutely outstanding! I could have spent the entire time in that room alone!
Yes, the music room is my favorite too! It was great to have you visit. Please come back again.
Perfect for family get together and USAFA events. Huge kitchens with 2 of everything and everything else you needed. Gameroom with pool table, pingpong, card table, extensive movie collection on big tv's. Beautiful views from every room. Hot tub, horse shoes, soccer goal, kids play house. Wonderful!
It sounds like you had a great time. Come back again! Bob & Chris, Owners
Great person to rent from, gorgeous view & property, great space for staying in. Had enough for all 25 of our family members for the week, a laundry room & an amazing kitchen. How to take care of things was well laid out, easy to understand and easy to do. Home was clean & comfortable. It was an amazing stay, I slept great & felt like home for the week.
It was such a pleasure meeting you and your family. Please come back sometime. Chris & Bob, Owners
This home had everything you need. It was a home away from home. Extremely spacious, beautiful views, and perfect for a large family gathering!
It was great to see your family so happy and we are so very pleased you enjoyed the house. It is indeed a special place and we love sharing it.
We had been looking for a property that would accommodate 24 and found this rental for our stay over USAFA graduation week. The family and friends who joined us were so grateful and impressed with the home. There was plenty of space and lots to do at the house. We were able to cook all our meals in the enormous kitchen with every kind of appliance (big and small) available. There were plenty of dishes, linens, spices, etc. available. This was so much better than staying in a hotel!
It was wonderful meeting your family. Congrats again to the graduates. We are so pleased the house worked well for you all...and yes, the kitchen is really great to cook in...room for the whole gang to pitch in and help. It is a special place and we are blessed to be able to share it. Please visit again. Chris & Bob, Owners
The resident feline Oscar was friendly but kept to himself unless you called him over with "kitty kitty." The pool table, ping pong table, poker table, and endless outside games including soccer, volleyball, and other ball games kept my siblings, cousins, and I busy and smiling. The kitchen has everything and more, allowing for large meals. This house is decorated beautifully with wood and themes in each room. My only complaint is that the driveway is mostly made up of dirt and could be paved. The view of Pikes Peak is prime.
Thanks for being so kind to Oscar, our outside ranch cat. We are still giving him the treats you left behind for him and think you may have spoiled him. :) We agree....the 1/2 gravel driveway would be great paved, but there are lots of reasons we are unable pave the ranch access and some really specific reason it needs to stay gravel. Most people love it at is adds to the atmosphere of the Ranch and also inspires people to drive at a reasonable speed limit.
I rented this Bluebird Ridge House for a corporate retreat and planning meeting. We had 16 adults and everyone had their own bed. The kitchen was perfect -- two ovens and two dishwashers, plus plenty of space for people to sit down and eat. During down times my team enjoyed the game room and big yard. The views were incredible too. The owners are exceptional to work with. I rent a lot of homes through VRBO and am generally happy. But I have to say that this has been the best experience yet. I highly recommend this property for a corporate retreat or a family reunion.
We are always amazed that a house full of serious business professional have as much fun at the house as the large groups with lots of kids always have. Our Ping-Pong table was "steaming" when we got back to the house....there must have been some serious ponging going on. It is good to know that the house was perfect for your serious business meetings as well. It was a pleasure having you at Bluebird Ridge Ranch and you are welcome back any time. Chris and Bob, Owners
Chris, the home was outstanding, and delivered everything as promised. We were very happy with the accommodations and location. Our group enjoyed a fantastic stay with the comfort of this great home. The home was clean, and inviting with amenities to keep everyone entertained. We look forward to staying with you again!
We enjoyed the opportunity to accommodate your College Athletes while the team was in Colorado Springs. What a great group of young people. You are welcome back anytime. We now know a 60 ft tour bus will not make it up the long driveway. I hope my pickup truck shuttle served you well. Hope to see you and your team again! OWNER/CHRIS
We stayed here over Spring Break with 2 other families. The house was great, plenty of room for the adults and kids to spread out. The house was set up well for guests with comfortable beds, soft towels, and a well-equipped kitchen. This was our first VRBO, and I don't think we'll stay in a hotel again. The owners were extremely accommodating - lots of suggestions for things to do and willing to plow the roads if we got snowed in.
We are so happy you had a great time at Bluebird Ridge Ranch. You just missed the Bluebirds. They showed up a few days after you left. Bob & Chris, Owners
